ZooBurst and Digital Timeline

This week we were asked to create and play with more than one online tool. I decided to use ZooBurst and Digital Timelines. My decision to use these two technologies was because I have never heard of them before and wanted to explore them.

The first technology I looked at was the digital timeline. This technology was very simple to use, it was all about playing around with the site to see what could be done. With my timeline I found that you can add in images, videos and links to other sites. With my timeline I added in a link to my website that I created.

The second tool I looked at was ZooBurst. I has never heard of this site so I did not know what I was going to be creating. When I logged in I realised that this site was for teacher, mothers, students or anyone to create an online book. Not only is this for an online book They can create a book surrounding any topic and make it interactive with the students, images can be added as well as videos. For my book I made one that would work in with a Kindergarten setting. The topic is shapes and shows some of the simple shapes with the question what shape is this, then on the next page it shows the word to go with the shape. This could be used to teach students about shapes, numbers, animals and all different types of subjects. Students could also be asked to create their own pop up books on a topic of their choice. The ideas are endless.
